| 内容記述 | This is a list of all of opera performances at the Bolshoi Theatre ─ a key hub in the opera world during the Soviet era ─ from 1935 to 1936, and a brief related analysis. An overview of the period from 1910 to 1991 shows how the theatre’s repertoire frequently changed in response to various situations. The shift observed from 1935 to 1936 in particular marked a major turning point, with two critiques in Pravda (the Communist Party’s official newspaper), especially of Shostakovich’s Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District at the Bolshoi Theatre as a direct trigger. However, the background of this shift highlights two more related countermeasures for exploration of Soviet opera models at that time: the blatant acclaim of Dzerzhinsky’s Quiet Flows the Don in clear contrast, and the launch of the Dekada arts festival. | |||||||||||
