内容記述 | In Japan, it is not uncommon for teachers of Italian FL not to be familiar with approaches aimed to support the learner in making hypotheses and finding regularities (such as the inductive approach). They usually recur to a unidirectional “explanation/exercise/correction” class practice and expect the learner to “remember” what has been “taught”. Research in language learning, though, shows that approaches where the learner plays a central role have relevant effects on interest, motivation and, consequently, on comprehension. There are many strategies which support the learner’s observation and analysis of the language in all its aspects (from phonology to textual and pragmatic appropriateness), some examples of which are provided in the present paper. These practices aim to develop a confident learning attitude and can be easily reproduced, provided the teacher’s awareness that rather than “control” what the learner “remembers”, they are to provide input of a language that, before being “a set of rules”, is a means of communication and creation of meaning. | |||||
