内容記述 This paper examines challenges in health education and necessary support for children requiring medical care in Myanmar (known as Burma) based on the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In support for children requiring medical care through health education, their access to health services as their right to health and development, as well as their right to participation that promotes the development of abilities for decision-making should be ensured.
Particularly, in armed conflicts, measures to protect children from violence while preventing violence should be implemented with regional and international cooperation, as all forms of violence, including wars and social upheavals, may disempower children in terms of the abilities and possibilities for participation that promotes child health and development.
In such situations, it is necessary to ensure children's access to the digital environment, in order to guarantee safe environments for them, and open new avenues for them to participate in public decision-making processes. Health education in the digital environment should develop as inclusive education, covering digital literacy, and lifelong learning, while teachers are expected to promote children's awareness of the digital environment, and provide education and resources for them.
